Meanwhile, Trump persists in reversing the election results and adopting a series of somewhat radical measures, namely deploying the army, collecting voting machines, and appealing to the Supreme Court. The electorate on December 14th voted 306 to Biden. Trump has not yet conceded and decided to "fight" again.

On December 20th, Trump said in a radio interview with private lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani that he had spoken to Senator Tommy Tuberville about challenging electoral votes. The House of Representatives and The Senate met on January 6th to officially confirm President-elect Joe Biden's victory.

On December 18th, Trump met with Giuliani and former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn among others. Flynn hinted on Newsmax that Trump could deploy troops to hold re-election in battlefield states. The next day, Flynn was in the Oval Office to discuss the idea. Flynn's lawyer, Sidney Powell, who actively promoted election fraud allegations, was also present at the meeting.

Last week, Barr sent a resignation letter to Trump and announced he would leave the chair on December 23rd. Vice Minister Jeffrey Rosen will become a minister. In a recent interview with Reuters, Rosen declined to say whether he appointed special counsel to investigate voter fraud or Hunter Biden.
